No Data Corruption & Data Integrity
Find out what ‘No Data Corruption & Data Integrity’ means for the info within your hosting account.
Data corruption is the damage of info because of various software or hardware problems. After a file is corrupted, it will no longer function accurately, so an app will not start or will give errors, a text file shall be partially or completely unreadable, an archive will be impossible to open and unpack, etc. Silent data corruption is the process of data getting damaged without any acknowledgement by the system or an admin, which makes it a significant problem for hosting servers as fails are more likely to occur on larger hard drives where vast volumes of information are located. If a drive is part of a RAID and the info on it is replicated on other drives for redundancy, it's likely that the damaged file will be treated as a healthy one and it will be copied on all the drives, making the damage permanent. Lots of the file systems that operate on web servers these days often are not able to recognize corrupted files instantly or they need time-consuming system checks during which the server isn't functioning.

No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Web Hosting
The integrity of the data that you upload to your new
web hosting account shall be ensured by the ZFS file system which we use on our cloud platform. The majority of internet hosting suppliers, like our firm, use multiple HDDs to keep content and because the drives work in a RAID, the exact same information is synchronized between the drives all of the time. When a file on a drive becomes corrupted for some reason, however, it's more than likely that it will be duplicated on the other drives because alternative file systems do not include special checks for that. Unlike them, ZFS works with a digital fingerprint, or a checksum, for every single file. In the event that a file gets damaged, its checksum won't match what ZFS has as a record for it, and the damaged copy shall be swapped with a good one from a different drive. As this happens right away, there is no risk for any of your files to ever get damaged.

No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Semi-dedicated Hosting
In case you get one of our
semi-dedicated hosting packages, you will not need to be concerned about silent file corruption as we use ZFS - an advanced file system which monitors all of the files in real time. Every time you upload a file to your web hosting account, ZFS will assign a unique digital fingerprint to it - the so-called checksum. This file will be synchronized between a number of NVMe drives for redundancy, so if one drive fails, the other ones will take control. ZFS compares the checksum of all of the copies on the different drives and when it detects a damaged copy, it replaces it with a healthy one from another drive. This happens instantly, so there will be no risk for any part of your content at any time. In contrast, alternative file systems carry out checks after a system failure, but since they don't use anything similar to the checksums which ZFS uses, they can't detect silently corrupted files, so a corrupted copy can be replicated on the rest of the drives as well and you can lose precious info. Because this is not the case with ZFS, we are able to warrant the integrity of each and every file you upload no matter what.
